When ivy grows on a building, does it get nutrients from the walls, or does it only use them for support?

I would have to say ground gives nutrients, walls give support. Multiple site infer that the nutrients come from the ground

that's the thing though, i don't watch tv 'cause most of it is crap. then a good show comes out, and i find out about it only after it's been canceled. remember family guy got canceled too, but they brought it back. they should do the same w/ AD.
